Michigan B184 Update April 22, 2004 |
Back to B184 updates * Previous * Next
1) Chambers passing CR test this week: EML4A03, EML3C13 EML3C13 has taken CR data over 15 hrs. Due to the large threshold offsets many mezz card channel hitmaps were too ugly. we will stop the second round data taking (with higher threshold) now and crate the chamber this afternoon. Total number of chamber passed CR test at CERN: 12 2) Chambers in progress EML4A07: Re-epoxyed tubelets with "pinhole" or "air bubble" in half jumper location on the epoxy. T sensor cabling done, inplane system tested. One T sensor was broken and replaced. EMS4C16: opened crate, ETs changed. top multilayer needs to be re-certified. EML3A15: Finish epoxying tubelets this afternoon. B sensor platforms glued. 3) Chambers in hospital EMS5A02: Finished epoxy around on the endplug and tube end. 4) Other issues: - Chamber logistics All chambers passing the CR test are posted with a red "CR tested" sign at both ends of the CRate. We have transported 6 chambers (3 EML3+3 EMS5) from bldg 180 to bldg 184. these chambers are sitting on bldg184 platform. I think we always need some chambers stay here as a buffer. We are now starting to empty some space for UW. I'm leaving CERN for Ann Arbor tomorrow early morning and will return on May 3. Bing, Ed and Helmut are all here at CERN. We have two new members who joined us in the last a couple of days. they are Claudio Ferreti and Guocai from China. - Parts: We still need ETs (Curtis, can you ask for them), mezz cards, SHH cards and Mezz cables. Bing has asked Tom to send us mezz cables. Zhenngguo Zhao
