Back to B184 updates * Previous * Next
1) Chambers passing CR test
a) Chambers passing CR test this week: EMS4A08, EMS4A06, EMS4A10
b) Total number of chamber passed cr test at CERN: 53
comment: EMS4A06,08 finally passed on Wed. whew
2) Chambers in progress
EMS4C12: has almost passed CR test: one tube that is questionable
EMS5A04: Undergoing CR test.
EMS5C02: Bottom ML showed a small leak (-1050mbar in 715 days), Alan
is sniffing to find its source. Top ML tubelets glued.
EMS4C04: Installing ELX. Platforms mounted, tubelets glued.
EML3A01: Good long term leak rates. ready to glue tubelets
Only 5 stations listed here because EM4A10 has not yet been moved
out. We have already started to shuffle chambers to work on ones
that have been acting as tables. EMS5A12 (the long term test
chamber from the truck bay) is now a table, and we can pop the end
to change motherboard and confirm ET status in its current postion.
Incidentally, the missing ems4 ETs have turned up, so all is well on
that count.
3) Chambers in hospital none.
4) Problems and other issues
Jeff is training people to incorporate the new DCS test. To my
novice eye the operations here appear to be working very smoothly.
I am impressed with the efficiency with which everybody keeps track
of what is needed on each of the 6 stations. I offer my
congratulations to the crew.
