1) Chambers passing CR test
a) Chambers passing CR test this week: EML5C01, EML5C09, EML5C13, EMS5A12
b) Total number of chambers passing CR test at CERN: 72
EMS5A12 has leak rate around 7-8 mbar/day. This is the 3rd Michigan
chamber and it was kept running for CR test in the truckbay for over
2 years.
2) Chambers in progress
EML5A09: CR test almost done.
EML5C03: Dark current test
EMS5C07: This chamber is the one that had been in truck at UM bay
for CR test. Replaced ET's, recertified the chamber. Will be ready
for CR data taking after gluing B sensor platform
3) Chambers in hospital. none
4) Problems and other issues
Since we are dealing with chambers that have been tested before, the
speed is faster than before. A critical issue is that we need to
arrange chamber transportation well so that we don't wait for
chambers to come.
I have sent Joerg a list of our chambers that need to be moved
back. We had a discussion this afternoon on this issue.
During the time when I am absent, Alan is responsible for requesting
chamber transportation, and movement in bldg 184.
For non-EML5 chambers that need to replace mezz cards, I will
distribute a check or things to do list to bldg 184. Mainly replace
Mezz cards, install/modify DCS box and test it. Redo CR test.
I'm leaving for Michigan tomorrw and will return on Oct. 22. I need
to go to immigration office to extend my "pre-greeen card" which is
going to expire on middle of Dec. Also I was told by my lawyer not
to leave the US for longer than 6 months for each trip.
