Definitions of the numbers listed in Summary table:
N(total) = number of chambers to be worked or reworked at CERN in phase I
N(finished) = number of chamber that have been finished
N(this week) = number of chamber finished this week
1. Summary table
N(total) N(finished) N(this week)
UM 80 80 0
UW 80 80 0
BMC 80 48 5
------------------------------------------------------------
Total 240 208 5
2. Chamber finished this week:
BMC: EIL1C13, EIL1A07, EIL1C11, EIL2A01,EIL2C13
3. Chambers in progress
BMC chamber
EIL1A01: Dark current tested, Mezz card is done.
EIL1A05: Dark current tested
EIL1A09: (H8 chamber): Roughly certified the leak
rate. Certification with longer time will be
performed. Start installing SHH and HV cards.
UW:
Two UW students are working for the 8 BIM chambers that will be
attached to EIL4 chambers. Two chambers have tubelets
installed. They started to certify the leak rate for these two
chambers.
4. Problems and other issues
a) The so-called lower gain from CSM4 is not really true. We did one
more test, making sure that no one touched the gas system for
this chamber. No difference was found between CSM1 and CSM4.
So we now start using a CSM4 to do the CR test. Then CMS4,
including covers will mounted on the chamber.
b) The crane in BLD 262, where BMC chambers are stored, has a
problem on the stop switch. We are informed that we would not
get any chambers before the crane is fixed. I am in contact with
transportation team and am pushing them to have it fixed as soon
as possible.
c) Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow will be holiday here.
Zhengguo and David
