Definitions of the numbers listed in Summary table:
N(total) = number of chambers to be worked or reworked at CERN in phase I
N(finished) = number of chamber that have been finished
N(this week) = number of chamber finished this week
1. Summary table
N(total) N(finished) N(this week)
UM 80 80 0
UW 80 80 0
BMC 80 66 6
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Total 240 226 6
2. Chamber finished this week:
BMC:
EIS1A04, EIS1A10, EIS1C06, EIS1C12, EIL1C03, EIL2C11
3. Chambers in progress
BMC chamber
EIS1C08: dealing with a hot channel by replacing a Mezz card
EIL2A15: flushing gas
EIL2A13/C03: measure gas leak rate and dark current
EIL2C05: dealing with a hot channel by replacing HV card
EIL2C09: HV tripped around 1.3 kV for one tube raw, attributing to
a bad SHH card. Replaced SHH card and re-take CR dat
UW:
4 BIM chambers that will be attached to EIL4 epoxy tubelets.
4. Problems and other issues
a) Three BMC chambers have 1-2 hot channels and they are attributed
to bad HV, SHH and Mezz cards.
b) The last H8 chamber has not yet transported to BLDg184, though I
heard that it had been dismounted from the frame at H8. We have
kept requesting it.
Except the 5 chambers that will soon shipped to CERN from Boston,
all BMC chambers that have not yet been tested are in bldg 184.
We will keep one for each type in bldg 184 for measuring the B
sensor cable length.
c) Though we are getting close to finishing all US chambers for
phase I, we still call for all of us who are working at bldg 184
to keep paying great attention on both safety and quality. Before
we finish the last chamber, we should not relax any of our attention
on these issues.
