Magnetic Field sensor files: BSENSOR_MTF1.txt (revised Feb 28, 2006)
BSENSOR_MTF2.txt (July 18, 2006)

General Notes:
  1. The SN_MTF1.txt, MEZZSN1.txt, HVHH_MTF1.txt, and ROHH_MTF1.txt files are the same as the old SN_MTF.txt, MEZZSN.txt, HVHH_MTF.txt, and ROHH_MTF.txt except for some minor differences.
  2. Not all endcap chamber data is present because some chambers are still being commisionned.
  3. Files have been checked for duplicate IDs.
Data formats:

1. SN_MTF#.txt => CSM and DCS IDs

  Format: IDMechPar MDT_ID CSM_MB CSM_ID DCS_NODE NIKHEF_ID BarCode

IDMechPar = Chamber name
MDT_ID = MDTSerialNumber, e.g.   ATLM.M.EML.1C03
CSM_MB  = CSM Motherboard Serial Number e.g EU-MB-04-20-0160
CSM_ID  = CSM Serial Number e.g US-CSM-04-11-0187
DCS_NODE = DCS node number
NIKHEF_ID = DCS Nikhef ID, e.g. D028e
BarCode = DCS barcode e.g. 20MMFIAD001289

  These numbers are verified to have the correct format.
= Calibration constant 1 (offset)

2. MEZZSN_MTF#.txt => Mezzanine card IDs

  Format: IDMechPar Mezz_ID ML STEP CSM_CH CABLE_LEN

IDMechPar = Chamber name
Mezz_ID = Mezz card serial number
ML = Multilayer [1:2]
STEP    = Position of card on ML in order of increasing
            chamber Z coordinate.  [1:N]
CSM_CH  = Readout channel on CSM card
CABLE_LEN = Length of CSM cable in cm

  Mezz IDs are verified to have the correct format.

3. HVHH_MTF#.txt => High Voltage Hedgehog Card IDs

  Format:   IDMechPar ID ML STEP TYPE CSM_CH

IDMechPar = Chamber name
ID = HVHH ID number
ML = Multilayer [1:2]
STEP    = Position of card on ML in order of increasing
            chamber Z coordinate.  [1:N]
TYPE = Type of card (layout) [1:2]
CSM_CH  = Readout channel on CSM card
  Notes:
  a. Chambers EIS1, EIS2, EIL1, EIL2, and most EML5 did not
     have HVHH IDs recorded.  There is no plan to get this data.
  b. HVHH IDs are hand-written on cards, and therefore have
     a higher probability of errors during writing or recording.
     We have checked for duplicate or wrong IDs.
  c.  Here is a list of duplicate or missing HVHH IDs which have
     been excluded from the MTF files above:  hvhh_dup_list.txt
     Missing IDs are given as ID 0000.   File also lists which chambers
     are recorded as having the duplicate IDs.

4. ROHH_MTF#.txt => Readout Hedgehog Card IDs
   Same format as HVHH file.  Here is a list of duplicate or missing
   ROHH IDs:  rohh_dup_list.txt

5. TSENSOR_MTF#.txt => Temperature sensors

  Format: IDMechPar ID Type Channel Location Const1 Const2 Flag

IDMechPar = Chamber name
ID = Sensor ID number
Type = 1=>Washington Tsensor 2=>Brandeis Tsensor
Channel   = Readout channel
Location = Location on chamber (number to be defined on a diagram)
Const1  = Calibration constant 1 (offset)
Const2 = Calibration constant 2 (slope)
Flag    = bit flag of sensor status

Notes:
  1. Washington temperature sensors are installed only on EML1, EML2, EML3, EML4, EML5,  EMS2, EMS3, EMS4, EMS5, and EIL4 chambers.
  2. Brandeis temperature sensors are installed only on EIS1, EIS2, EIL1, EIL2, EMS1, and EML1 chamber.  Note that EML1 has both Washington and Brandeis T sensors.  However EML1 Brandeis T sensors are not installed at the same locations as on the other chambers with Brandeis T sensors.
  3. Nikhef temperature sensors are installed on the EO chambers.  These do not have ID numbers and so will not be listed in the Tsensor files.
  4. For more information on endcap T sensors read this.
6. BSENSOR_MTF#.txt => Magnetic field sensors

  Format: IDMechPar ID Type Channel Location Orientation

IDMechPar = Chamber name
ID = Sensor ID number (8 digit hex number)
Channel   = Readout channel [0:3]
Location = Location on chamber (defined on Brandeis chamber diagrams)
Orientation = Sensor orientation [-1,1]

  1. Chambers have either 0, 2, or 4 Bsensors.
